China Airlines
China
Airlines was founded in 1959 and now boasts a fleet of 61 aircraft
which fly to 44 cities in 21 countries. The extensive fleet includes
44 passenger jets and 17 freighters. Boeing and Airbus dominate
the fleet which boasts 29 Boeing 747, 12 Boeing 737-800, 12 A300-600
and 7 A340 aircraft. The average age of the aircraft is only 6 years.
In 2002 RQAC was appointed by China Airlines to
train its future airline pilots. We are justifiably proud of our
appointment. This is a further testament to the international reputation
of the training standards of our school.
The students on this program undergo a rigorous
selection process by China Airlines before commencing their training
at RQAC. The students have not undertaken any flying training before
they commence our training program.
The students undertake an intensive training
program and complete an Australian Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-engine
Command Instrument Rating together with a minimum of 45 hours of
multi engine flight time before returning to Taiwan for further
ground training and simulator training. At the conclusion of their
training the students are assigned to full flight duties on aircraft
in the China Airlines fleet.
